At this point you may be saying, “Ok, so how do I get my mercury amalgams removed because I’ve got a bunch of them in my mouth?!” Well, whatever you do, DO NOT have them removed by your regular dentist. For unless you have them removed properly, you may very well severely poison yourself (and others in the room). There is a very specific procedure that you have to follow in order to avoid further poisoning in addition to the mercury you already have in you. The first thing I did was to get a packet of information from Dr. Huggins at his “Huggins Applied Healing” office in Colorado. The packet described the process to go through in order to properly and safely have one’s amalgams removed and replaced. The first step is to have a special blood test done so you can select a composite that will replace your fillings that your body will have little or no immune response to. You see, it makes no sense to remove fillings that your body has been having great difficulty dealing with only to replace them with another material that your body also has an immune response to! Next was selecting a dentist who knows how to do this procedure properly. I used Dr. Andrew Zakarian in San Diego, California. I chose him because he was referred by Dr. Huggins office and he was the closest to where I lived. I flew to San Diego and had all my amalgams removed and replaced in two days during two appointments. The first step was for Dr. Zakarian to find the electrical charge of each amalgam and then set the order for their removal. Because mercury is so incredibly toxic, I was breathing oxygen during the procedure through a small, sealed mask on my nose.
To protect Dr. Zakarian, his assistant and me during the procedure, Dr. Zakarian’s room where he does this procedure has specially designed air purifiers that deal with the fumes that are a result of the high speed drill vaporizing the mercury and the other metals, not to mention the mercury vapor that is released as the filling is exposed and removed. Each day immediately after my appointment I was given acupuncture in Dr. Zakarian’s office by Dr. Zakarian to help my immune system. I was also given a very potent source of liquid vitamin C while I was there and for several weeks after I returned home. But here’s the fascinating part of my experience of having my mercury amalgams removed. Up until that point I had been experiencing a slowly increasing brain fog over the years. Part of me thought it was simply due to getting older. But in my gut I was thinking, “Well, I’ve seen plenty of people in their 60s and 70s whose minds are sharp and who have great memories”. One of my brain fog symptoms was having difficulty when it came to retrieving such things as people’s names I hadn’t seen in a while, towns I had been to, etc. A lot of those, “It’s on the tip of my tongue but I just can’t quite remember it” experiences. Well, within a couple of months of having my amalgams removed my brain fog had begun to clear. It was quite amazing. I was now able to remember names of people I hadn’t seen in years, characters in movies, you name it. But the main thing I noticed was my mind was sharper and I could articulate far more clearly and far more rapidly than I had in years. I felt like I had had a mechanic give my brain a long overdue tune up! And during that time there had been only one health related change that I had made in my life. That was having my mercury amalgams removed. So my dramatic increase in mental clarity and function simply had to have been the result of having my awful, toxic, highly poisonous and electrically charged mercury amalgams removed. To this day, when I think about how this process of putting mercury amalgams in people’s mouths was for years condoned by the American Dental Association and then how the evidence of its impact on people’s heath was ignored or completely covered up by that organization, I can feel my blood pressure rise. And that is, in all honesty, quite an understatement as to my true feelings on the matter. So I encourage you to take steps towards one day having your mercury amalgams removed. But please, PLEASE, take your time, do your research and have them removed the right way by a dentist who is well trained in the proper procedures. You could thoroughly poison yourself if you don’t. If you want to begin the process of getting your mercury amalgams removed, a good place to start is to contact Dr. Huggins office and ask for an information packet to be sent to you.
